Sunflowers have also become a symbol of solidarity since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. People all over the world were using sunflowers to protest the war and show support for Ukrainians.
See the excerpt from the Time magazine article I read before I did this piece: … the news outlet Ukraine World shared a video on Twitter showing a Ukrainian woman in Henychesk giving sunflower seeds to Russian soldiers, with the striking instruction to put the seeds in their pockets so the flowers will grow where they die.

This piece was more of a reflection of people all over the world standing in solidarity, with a call to plant the seeds for a peaceful future.
