5 places to visit in Prince Edward County

Today the weather wasn’t so great for walking by the lake… it was cold, cloudy, rainy, and windy. I’m a sloth when it comes to most tasks, and it’s no different when I travel… I like to take my time and savour the scenery, taste every bite of whatever food or drink I’m having… walk at a sloth pace when window shopping or browsing shops.

Here are the 5 places I highly recommend to check out.

Ginger Carrot Soup, Spicy Tofu Banh Mi

This little cafe/market sells mostly vegan and gluten free fare with some vegetarian options. The soup and wrap I had were filling and delicious!

Oeno Gallery, 2274 Prince Edward County Rd. 1, Bloomfield, ON, Canada
For fans of contemporary art, the gallery and the grounds are worth checking out.

ANDARA Gallery, 54 Wilson Road, Bloomfield, ON, Canada
I met the lovely owner and artist Andrew Csafordi. He does encaustic paintings and his wife is a photographer. Beautiful gallery space with gorgeous art and photos. It’s a gem!

The Royal Hotel, 247 Picton Main St., Picton, ON K0K 2T0
I made a pit stop here for an afternoon tea. It’s very difficult to get a reservation so plan ahead if you want to dine in their beautiful restaurant.

Wow! I love the food here. It is incredibly good. Everything we tried was delicious and full of flavor and the servers were exceptional.
